Linda Lorndale’s work is permeated with a sense of movement. She uses undulating lines and shapes as well as surface textures to explore fluidity. Linda works with a variety of metals, including gold, sterling silver, Argentium, and copper.
“Linda is inspired by the beauty and complexity of the world around her.”
Through raising, hammering and forging metal, Linda creates jewelry that has an organic esthetic. She employs techniques such as reticulation to create texture as part of the fabrication process. She carves and sculpts many pieces from wax, adding stones, textures and patinas to the cast metal forms, always allowing her jewelry to evolve.
Linda is inspired by the beauty and complexity of the world around her. She is interested in making jewelry that ebbs and flows in natural rhythms and shapes. She strives to create pieces that will be more interesting with repeated wearing and living.
